Our School offers low ratios in a Christian, high quality educational environment. The curriculum is full of fun and adventurous activities in a faith-based atmosphere. Program hours are 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. for one year olds thru fifth graders. We are both (NAC) National Accreditation Commission Accredited and Gold Seal Accredited.
Pilgrim offers dynamic, Bible-based interactive teaching on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Faithweaver Friends Sunday School is offered for ages nursery thru 5th grade during the 10:00 a.m. worship hour. Wednesday night following dinner, Kids Own Worship Bible Study is held from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for all ages.
Our middle school and high school youth groups meet Wednesday nights from 6:30p.m. - 7:30 p.m. with lessons relevant for the teens. Our purpose is to empower youth to live their faith daily and embody the Christian life. At the weekly gatherings the youth will experience support from one another and their adult teachers.
Our Women’s Ministries are helping hands in the church and the community. This ministry offers opportunities for women to work together, grow in Christian love, and express that love in the church, community and world.
PILGRIM FOOD PANTRY
The Pilgrim Pantry is open the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 10:00 am to 12 noon. Cleaning and personal hygiene items will be given out on the 4th Monday. If you do not have a white Food Pantry card, it will be necessary to go to the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition located at 1476 Kenesaw Street, Port Charlotte to obtain one.
BIBLE STUDIES & SUPPORT GROUPS
The key components of our Small Group Ministry are prayer, learning, fellowship and service. The purpose is to renew and continue our spiritual journey and to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Support groups include Depression Support Group, Parenting Class, Cancer Support Group, AA, Al Anon and OA. Bible study groups gather throughout the week.
MISSION OUTREACH MINISTRY
Opportunities exist for Pilgrims, both adult and youth, to participate in annual international and local outreach. Activities have included trips to Cameroon, Mississippi, Texas, Jamaica, NY and Arizona as well as local service to the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Virginia B. Andes Free Clinic and Habitat for Humanity among others.
Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those in our congregation and community who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. There are times when each of us needs the care of another person, a Christian friend, a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry; those receiving care can be sure that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship will remain private.
Our Sunday services are designed to meet the needs of our diverse and ever growing congregation. Whether traditional worship or a more contemporary atmosphere is your preferred way to fellowship, Pilgrim Church has the service to meet your lifestyle.
