Diaconate Ministry

The Deacons are getting ready for the Advent season. They will be busy helping to decorate the church for Advent, helping with the service at South Port Square and visiting shut-ins. If you would like to join in these activities, please let the office know.

A great big thank you goes to Hamp and Deb Allen for all the hard work they did to make the Veteran’s Tree in the Narthex a success. We have decided to leave the tree up for a while, so if you have not included a picture, please bring your photo to Deb or the church office. You did a great job Hamp and Deb and we thank you so much.

We are also looking for members who would like to become Deacons. If you have a heart for service, then becoming a Deacon is what you are meant to be. Please contact me or the Church Office if you are interested.

Have a blessed holiday.

Joyful Noise is super busy practicing for our Christmas Program which will be on Friday, December 7th at 5 pm. Children ages two to 12 will be singing, dancing and celebrating the birth of Jesus. We would love to have you come to experience their joyful celebration.

We also have Dinner with Santa coming up on Tuesday, December 11th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. We will have crafts, reindeer food, cookie decorating, a ham dinner, and the Jolly Man himself. All Pilgrim families are invited to attend, however, we are not opening it up to the public.

We hope to see you there!

Food Pantry Ministry

The month of November has been a busy month for
your pantry. We have been very busy with all the
donations we have received. On November 10, our
Boy Scouts did a Food Drive and brought us over 2600
pounds of food. Our hats are off to these young men
and we thank them so much. After that, the children of
our Joyful Noise School brought the items they
received in their food drive. AND IT WAS A LOT!!!
A big thank you to the children.

On November 11, we handed out 80 turkeys. What a
busy day it was giving out turkeys and having pantry
also. We thank those of you who contributed to the
“Turkey Fund”.

Thank you to the entire pantry staff for their dedication
and hard work. It is so appreciated.

The pantry continues to need contributions of paper
goods, dish detergent, shampoo, washing soap, cereal,
peanut butter, jelly.

We hope everyone has a blessed holiday season.
